The serious countdown has begun for BEA 2007.
Here at the ABC offices we're running around packing, pasting, copying, and generally preparing for the big event. We head to NYC tomorrow.
One of the most exciting things that we've been working on is the preparation of this year's auction.
Oh man--what and incredible group of donations we've gotten this year! For the first time, Auction Director Anne Irish has posted most of the artwork online for preview. (see below for the links)
We've received 135 pieces from a stellar group of children's book artists, and I can barely wait for attendees to see them in person.
But, just to wet your whistle, I've pulled together a few choice pieces in this preview for a sneak peek.
Oh---and before I forget, let me also mention that we have an amazing piece for the raffle this year--the original Ian Falconer art (Olivia) that is the basis for this year's Books Make Everything Campaign and Catalog cover. (see below)
Yowza.
If you haven't yet bought a ticket for the Auction and Dinner, we do still have a few seats available.
E-mail Rachel to make your reservation.
See you in New York!
